There is no such thing. The Aussie Hemis were NOT a slant six variant. They were an inline, vertically oriented six cylinder engine. There is no parts interchangeability with the slant engine.

Here's what they look like in case you're wondering.

...and this is what it's in.

If you've got a 67-74 A body swapping a Hemi six in would be real easy. However the motor you really want is the 265 hemi. Better head, bigger valves, more agressive cam, and they all had at least 9.5:1 comp.
My head is a 245 but that's OK, it's got a turbo cam, ported 265 head and it's getting a blow through carby turbo set-up shortly. :D

Is that one of the (very!) few VG Pacer wagons made, or is it a "clone" (Pacer grille)?

blownhemi,

Do You have more poics of this car, I would like to see how the car rear end looks like. Guess it is the only a-body wagon in a modern, pos 67 version of the car. Thanks.

'67-'68 "VE" model Australian Valiant Safari (wagon) rear view:

Note the taillamps, which are designed along the lines of the '67-'69 US Barracuda and Plymouth items. The '69-'70 VF and VG models had different taillamps than this VE. Here's a '69 VF:

Slantsixdan,

Thanks a lot. Guess these are the only newer a-body wagons on regular productions. Here in Brasil we had darts from 69 to 82, but we never had a wagon. There were some rumors that Mopar did a prototipe way back in the early 70's, but it never came thru.

Nah it's a clone, I'm not quite finished yet. I've seen VF Pacer wagons but I've yet to see a VG Pacer wagon although I have heard rumors.
I'll be applying red pacer stripes for a different, more subtle look. It'll also be getting a nice set of 18-inch wheels that I have in the garage...don't worry they don't look blingy. Very classy actually.

This what it used to look like when I had a 440 big block under the hood.

Blownhemi nice pictures, real nice.
Yes I would like a big straight hemi six and if you say the 265 is best, then I want one :D

I live in Sweden so it's even harder to get one for me.

A hemi six or I'm going to put a Turbo on my 225.

Take care

Given that information I would go with the slant six and a turbo. Hemi's have some problems from time to time especially around the oil pump drive. I'd hate to have to sort that out without a reliable source of parts.

Plus turbo slants work really well, we've got a couple over here in Australia that do really well, one of them runs into the low 11's at over 125mph on the quarter.

Here's a video clip of a couple of tough turbocharged slant sixes. Both cars are EFI and turbo, the white one uses water/air intercooling while the black one uses air/air intercooling. The white one has just had a major upgrade and is now running 12.5 at 110mph with more to come.

I am quite certain you will not be able to mount your 833 gearbox to the aussie sixes.
I have a shipping quote for minimum 1000 kg / 1m3 from Sydney to Gothenburg for 405 USD +customs fee +moms. (from pentastarparts in Hoxton Parks, Sydney)
I have had plans to go this route also but I need to know more on the gearbox deal. PM me if you would be interested in sharing one europallet (0,96m2) for your project.

Can't see why that would be the case. My information has the Hemi-6 using the same bellhousing pattern as the LA V8.

Man, that is a great video. I wonder when a couple of slant six cars are going to appear on Pinks!
