Last night I ordered thru Rock Auto 2 sets of Raybestos K-H calipers. This morning I got a call from them saying they are discontinued and NLA. The only thing they had or could get were the rebuilts from Cardone, plus there were only 2 of each side available. Needless to say I took them even though the price was considerably higher than what was posted on their site ($122 vs $101). All of the chains (Advance, AZ, NAPA) said not available. Guess everyone is doing the LBP conversion instead of redoing SBP brakes (could have gone that way but have reasons for keeping the SBP on my Valiant and Barracuda)

You can get 'em from Stainless Steel Brakes or from several of the early-Mustang suppliers.

'65 through '68. Same 1.64" piston bore. Same pads.

Another good question. assuming the mounting ears' location is the same (looks as if it is), it appears the calipers are only slightly different in that one of the threaded ports is located differently.

Here's the '65-'72 Mopar A-body K-H caliper:

And here's the '65-'68 Mustang K-H caliper:

The ports are visible in these photos by the green plastic plugs placed in them. It's a little late at night for me to dope-out how this port location difference would affect installation, but plumbing problems are usually not all that difficult to solve. Maybe all you'd need would be Mustang-spec transfer lines (which connect the two halves of the caliper).

Well, as I say, Stainless Steel Brakes Corp will sell you really nice aluminum ones, but be prepared to open up your wallet!

Dan - Any idea of what the Mustang calipers cost? Actual availability since they were used in considerably less years than the Mopar?

Multiple options show up on RockAuto and Napaonline. They were used on other Ford products of similar years, too, and Ford sold a ton of Mustangs and other cars with those brakes in those years, and there's a bigger demand for Ford parts than for Mopar parts, etc.
