In Tom Condran's "Performance and Handling for classic Mopars" book, he recommends using a '73-76 MC from a power set-up as a non-power set-up. I know about the push rod retaining issue. Are there any other issues I should worry about?

Thanks-Dart68

Choose your master cylinder by piston/bore diameter, and configuration/physical compatibility, not by "power vs. manual". The master cylinder generally doesn't know whether it's bolted onto a booster or straight onto the firewall. About the only special issue to be aware of: There's a random mix of good info and nonsense in Condran's book.

Since I am about to start my first front end rebuild, and I am using Condran's book as a guide, what parts are nonsense?

Oog. I'm not up for a page-by-page critique. Just post the ideas you're thinking of following or the info you're thinking of using here on the board, and you'll get plenty of opinions on the matter.

I haven't read (or have) Condran's book, but probably have read similiar types of books.

In general, I NEVER use 1 book as gospel. I use various sources (including here) to get an idea of how things work, what may be possible, and even what may be a really stupid idea............

Then I'll decide to do something (or not do something)
