I have a slant6 87 D100. I have been doing alot of reading both on this site and MOPAR performance book. And have learned alot. According to the mopar book after 1980's the walls of the engine block were made thinner than in the previous years. With a 87 engine would it be safe to enlarge the valves and shave the head for higher compression?

That should work fine to do shaving/big valves/boring. Several racers are using the 80s blocks/heads in 250+HP buildups.
