It is true there's gold in them hills.
On a recient trip to Montana for some R&R, I talked my two compadres to hit a couple of wrecking yards for some good redneck fun. I have had an itch that needed to be scratched for too long. All the yards in my area of Western Washington have gone under due to do-gooders or had to start selling RICE BY THE TON to survive. Here is a few morsels. 1, pristine 1966 Valiant hood 50$, I am sure you have heard of a dodge van A-100 battery box, yep, I bought one for ten bucks, no rust! No seats though, all gone. Lots of disk brake hardware for A-bodies, and for some reason no super six manifolds, go figure. The grand total with a few extras = 80 bucks! My compadres, hooked for 2 bills but brought home some fine parts that will complete their odd rigs. For five hours of rummaging around in a real yard with real cars it was well worth the dollar addmitance. Now if only varnished gas and 90wt was atracting to the opposite sex, this would be the cheapest date even Tom Likas couldn't whine about. These guys were AWSOME and I am already planing my next trip with something bigger than a pick-up truck. Maybe a moving van with the words U-HAUL written down the side.

They don't charge people anything around here to gain entrance to the yards...but they do make you sign waivers occasionally in case you get hurt or killed. There's a yard up in Billerica, they use to stack cars 4 high. Now they can't do more than 2.
