The Cowtown Mopars will have their annual show this Saturday April 8th starting at 9am at Huffines Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep I-35E and Business 121 in Lewisville Texas. While I know most other these shows revolve around muscle cars, I hope all the local Slanters will bring their pride and joy to show. A classic is still a classic, and if there is at least six (a good number!) slant cars, I will personally sponsor an award for the best Slant Six car. We'll have food, music, plenty of bench mechanicing and racing, prizes and givaways, and stuff for the kids. Check out our web site www.cowtownmopars.com for additional information. Hope to see you there. RICK

My daily beater is not even remotely "show-worthy", but I'll try to attend. Wouldn't mind meeting a fellow slanter, Rick! What's your car look like?

Wish I could make it up there, but we have a major show happening right here in my neck of the woods in Temple. Hope you have a good turnout, though.

I'm planning on being there, but it's scheduled on a bad day. The Busch series race is being run that afternoon at Texas Motor Speedway.

<yawn>... :)

Guess I'm not a true car-guy, or a real southerner, but Nascar doesn't interest me in the slightest. But you're probably right, it will likely affect attendence.

I'll keep an eye out for your little '64, G. I may bring my '67.

Yes we knew that NASCAR aka" The Rick Hendrick Show" would be in town, also the Dallas "Tribute to the Chromed Small Block Chevy" Auto Show was on, but we like to think we offer a better alternative. I'l be there with one of my V-8 cars as my Slanter project is being soda blasted. RICK

We had five Slanters come and go during the course of the day, including 64 Convert, who I'm sure had to endure speedway traffic. vynn 3 are you the 65 red droptop?. I'm jealous, what a grear day to drop the top. I ended up giving a prize to Terry Lewis and his 69 Dart H/T even though I said "six being the number, and the number shall be six........" Thanks for attending and don't be strangers!! RICK
