Update, the green bearings and 3.91's have been installed. The rear is sooooo much quieter now, and it really jumps when you hit it. I can feel it is much quicker now but I have lost much top end. These gears will come out a couple days after the MOPAR nats on the 14th, there is no way I could afford the gas to keep them in.

It's in and running like a bear! It has a totally different exhaust note as well. I'm going to have to wait until tuesday to adjust the valves, they clatter a little bit but it idles great and pulls harder throught the entire power band. I'm really pumped.

Good job. My brother and I got my motor and transmission back in my car today. I just have a few more things to do before I can get it running again. Hope I'm as happy with my end result as you are.

I know that was a lot of work.

Looks great!

It's the fabled 2 day motor swap, but in real life!

You've really got to have your s**t together to get it done that quick. And you got pictures!

The pics are working again!
I spent a little time under the hood tonight adjusting the valves. They were ALL loose. I got my old low rumbly exhaust note back, it was really rappy with the valves loose. the engine its self was tappy as well.
I also checked the compression the are all at 155-165 psi. I left the timing alone at 8* before top dead center.
one thing that bothers me though is the oil light comes on at idle. not always, it didn't come on at all this morning but this evening it did. Apparently the old sender didn't work because the oil light never came on before. I thought the bulb must have been bad. I guess I'll have to try a thicker oil, I'm using 10W30 right now. OR I could just bump the idle up a bit in drive. The light comes on only below 650rpm.
