I thought you said short wheelbase. 144 inches is hardly short. I dont think i would be able to see my front wheels that far away with my fading eyesight. I am at 96 inches with drum brakes which BTW were used on ALL dragsters back in the day without problems. I built mine 96 inches so it could be transported in the back of my 1/2 ton truck. It runs straight as an arrow. If I was building one for a trailer I might stretch it out a bit to maybe 120 inches but just for appearance sake. Not for any technical reason. However since it is yours you of course can have whatever you wish. I wish you all the best. I enjoy mine. Just finished a trans rework and may get in a test pass this coming weekend.
