Don't you know that the fish carb works according to the principles of Turbo-Encabulation? The girdle spring is one of the giveaways, as is the sinusoial depleneration.

Fish carbs were never marketed by the manufacturer as "100mpg"carbs. I don't know where they got that label, I just wish people would look into there history. They were a real carb and had enough performance to win races! Most of you are aware of another carb using the same basic design, if I were to ridicule that carb I'd probably be blasted from this forum. I expected a little more intalectual honesty here.

It would be fun to try one if it was designed like drawing and if it would fit on the SL6.

Ted, they made adaptors to fit the slant six carb base, you would have to make up the linkage though. I have a friend with a bunch ( 4 or 5) of them he bought on e bay, he tried a dual setup on a modified flathead Ford. I don't know what he did but I heard he did not like them and now has a set up with modern Strombergs on it. From what I have read it seem tricky to tune if you don't follow the directions, but what do I know.

When I was running one, I made my own adapter. I even put a manifold vacuum port in it, Its nit that hard if you can drill tap and grind metal.
