An old farmer's trick I still use to remove rust is molasses. Get a big tank, use a 4:1 ratio of water to molasses, and dunk the rusty bits in. Come back in about 3 or 4 weeks. As molasses ferments it has a chelating effect. I've dunked rustier parts than those in molasses and they came out looking freshly cast! I would suggest the traditional methods of hot tanking for the crank, head, and block, but i'd bet the rest will come out looking new!

block is toast. looks like it was involved in an accident. it is cracked major with the dist being pushed in , also next to last cylinder has a major crack up/down. will post pics later.

Doesn't look like the exhaust manifold is cracked. I'll bet the head is salvageable especially if oversize valves are used.
