Oof. Immediately get the three books described in this thread. You will save yourself a giant amount of time, effort, frustration, and expense this way. You really cannot effectively and safely repair your car without the knowledge and information they contain. A series of "Where does it go?" questions might eventually get you to the point where stuff works, but without knowing what you're doing it's a dangerous game.
