Wishbone or a Triangulated 4 link. You can set up the wishbone or the top bars to be adjustable for pinion angle adjustments.

- the rear end locating comes from the triangulation of the top bars or the wishbone (which is just 2 bars that meet before the heim joint instrad of running 2 heim joints on a 4 link)

A 4 link is pretty easy to fab. the 2 bottom bars get bushings and the the top bars get bushings on one end, heims on the other. Pick up a copy of Truckin', Street Trucks or even Minitruckin' and there will be a bunch of trucks in there that are running 4 links for pictures.

The top pic is a copy of the GM coil spring suspension. If the bushings are soft and flexable enough, it won't put the housing in too much of a bind while under travel. OK for street use, not the best for drag use because it hinders housing rotation.
The bottom pic looks like a poor design. I don't see a pivot point for the wishbone. If there is, nothing is holding the top of the housing in position. This is a poor design, even for the street. Might work on a show car that doesn't have to function. This does not allow one rear wheel to bump/rebound independantly. The housing can not rotate. There is no way to make a wishbone function as the upper link and give the housing freedom of movement.

You should see it throw sides - it has adjustable air suspension with a fill valve and a dump valve at each corner. The truck can lift one corner in the back about 12" by filling the bag on that corner.
