Hi Guys:
First, Dadtruck, I sent you a PM about the Hydraulic version. If someone can send me a gasket, or provide the dimensions of the needed changes, I can update a new drawing.
Now the news on this project.
I had two spacers laser cut by
SendCutSend a couple weeks ago. The least expensive option for my application was .187" thick 5052 H32 Aluminum at $49.57 each, I bought two for free shipping. There are other alloys and thicknesses, however, two in that size delivered for just under $100 in less than a week was the best math to give me options.
Here is what they look like. Great finish, only minor deburring with a fine file provides a nice, light weight solution.
Very happy with the results. The engine the slant head is resting on, is a 1970 426 Hemi I'm building for a 70 Roadrunner. It's been a nightmare, and was originally sold by fraudsters. It had come from a flood, or the bottom of the ocean, or a swampy southern junk yard. Full of rust and everything had to be redone to save it. Ready to assemble the short block this week. A story unto itself, but this forum is for /6's.
Thanks
Gearhead
AKA Karl
