With holes that small the fiberglass cloth would work fine, be quick and last a long time. POR 15 makes some good products but they can cost a little more.
Their website is www.por15.com , look for putties and filler page.
Also just in case you did not realize it you should remove the tape from the backside after whatever you use has hardened.

You are only using this to provided support when you apply the material.
