Ok, y'all are making me feel lazy.

My '64 Valiant needs a few fixes and I'll do a couple of upgrades on the way.

Scheduled:
Wiper system re-do (Underway)
Heater core R&R
Engine compartment ground loop
Transmission seals
Radio diagnostics (It chatters when it's cold.)

Pending appropriations:
Headliner
Carpet
AC

 I thought you were still burrowing around under your dash!

Not to worry, most of my problem is laziness right now.

"It's too cold!"

"My fingers hurt!"

"There's a movie on in a couple of hours!"

Whine, whimper and so forth....

I need to get off my fat keester and get something done!

The motor stays in the '53 and the '63 already has a "225" with only about 10-12K miles on it (.040 bore and 10/10 crank). Think about the headers I got from Sergio, & some sort of alteration to the intake system. Have a smooth push button column, and the auto floor shifter from Josh to go with the 904 that replaces the three on the tree. Also have a 8" ford rear end to go in it.

Think I will name the '63 Dart "6 Pac to Go" (if the name has been used
already, Please let me know) :?:

I have a laundry list of projects. so I sold a few and decided to work on the important ones. So the first is the 86 crew cab w350 short bed cummins project as this is the tow vehicle. next the /6 ram which gets a trans rebuild, the truck will be shortend 18" to short bed for weight transfer. the intake will be custom maybe a bigger turbo and definetly a small shot of nitros. and if I have the cash Ill be building a long rod 225.I'm shooting for the high 11s!!!!!

Turboram,

Sounds deadly! I certainly hope we can get you to a Slant 6 race in 2009. Would love to see your truck run and get to know you.

Lou

this winter I plan on rebuilding the carburetor, adjusting the valves, and installing headers on my 63 Dart.
Just started my header install. I will keep the progress posted in another topic.

Well My plans have taken a dramatic turn! I will no longer be running the duster  It has been retired to daily driver status. I found a car on craigs list that stated it was a race car with a 6 and 4bbl, This caught my attention and i just had to go take a look.

Its a 63 dart, gutted, 1 plastic seat thats it, 8 3/4 sure grip not sure of the ratio yet, The engine has a clifford ram pak intake with a carter 4bbl, 3-1 headers into 3ft straight pipes, the seller wasn't sure of the cam specs but its big, full electric fuel system with a holley blue pump, tranny cooler.

The car is straight as an arrow no dents at all has a big old snorkle scoop and has all the bumpers and crome pieces in trunk.

Needles to say i changed my plans for the duster and will be campaining this light little beast  .

Pic to come soon...

It needs to be cleaned up alot but it starts and sounds amazing. It has a b bodie rear under it so that will need to be shortend and some good rims and tires and it should be ready to rip!
