thanks! was great! Afterwards a honeymoon / roadtrip through France, Monaco, Tuscany (Italy), Venice, Dolomite mountains, Austria and back via Germany... With a modern car though.

unfortunately a couple days later the car broke down again. This time the electric fuel pump didn't work either.
Even tried to hook it up to a jerrycan, but that didnt get the fuel going neither. Since I was stranded just 2 miles from my house, the car was towed slowly, walking pace, to my home and pushed in the garage and I haven't taken a look at it since. This weekend I will try to remove the gas tank and clean that one out. I have to find a correct electric fuel pump since the aftermarket new mechanical pump don't fit with the engine mount, and will try to figure out how to get an electrical pump with exactly the correct amount of fuel pressure etc.

That'll be a tomorrow morning problem.


@ Philipp, I really would like to drive through the mountains with my Dart. 2 yrs ago traveled in summer throughout Switzerland, (Lauterbrunnen, Aletsch glacier, Locarno, Jungfraujoch, Interlaken etc) But the 800-900km to get there I really dislike to do with this old car, and I really doubt I trust my drum brakes on the mountain passes...

It must be quite a sight to see those vintage mopars in your region of the world!

Likely A good Gas tank Cleaning / Replacement is in order!
As well as Checking / Cleaning / Replacing the fuel lines from the fuel tank to the engine bay.
Fuel Tank Pickup / Sock Filter / Sending unit.... That can possibly be cleaned as well.

Yes those OE Drum Brakes on your Mountain passes are not up to modern standards. Be careful, and Possibly upgrade to the dual circuit master cylinder if you have not already done so. It's possible your cars may already have this somehow due to being European specification.

I hardly think any modifications have been made. My car is originally from California and brought to the NLs in 1996.
Almost everything is completely stock and original. So are the brakes...
Therefore I have kept the car in the lowlands.
