I wacked off a little on my car today.Trying to finalize my nitrous system. My local guy that is a rep for my system first told me I need just over 5lbs fuel pressuer out of nozzels flowing.Had questions cause after resurch that didnt jive. Was told you couldnt go by dead head pressue one day, then the next day something different.Called the tech line and he told me 10lbs.Called Jeffries and he did a little figureing, and thinks 5 1/2 would bee right. So beeing me,I didnt listen to anyone and set it a 6lbs.Guzzi Mark
Mark, if you need a gauge to set flowing pressure I have one you can borrow.

Fuel pressure is pretty critical with spray. Upping the pressure makes it fuel richer, lowering it makes it nitrous rich. I always ran 5.5 flowing.

Less than 4 makes it a torch.

@ Mark.. More Rivets.. Possibly.. Maybe I can use them as Ballast in the Rear 1/2 of the car :-)

@ Wayne... No Sir No White lab coats here Just Welding Jacket, Gloves and Face Shield for this Mad PhD.

@ Lou.. No She hasn't reconsidered yet, & if she did I havent heard about it.. Sometimes she does not like that I spend so much time with ruster though.. But She knows where to find me and I am not drunk or passed out.. If I am passed out it's prolly cause an engine block hit me in the head or something... :D

Nice work Greg.

That hinge has a lot more to take off of it still! Use smaller bolts where applicable and aluminum bolts where non structural.

I got a 66 Coronet wagon down to 3300lbs with a Hemi and had more to go. It started at 4000 lbs with a RB.

So how much is 25 to 50 lbs worth ET wise. Is there a rule of thumb figure? Thanks, Wayne.

I like to think of 10lbs being 1 HP.

My bogger started as a 5300lb truck......Im now at 2415. New heads and rear diff could have me at 2285lbs.

Less beer could have me at 150 again........I could use the 3/4hp

I've heard the same as well. As the car gets faster, the rule changes.

Post subject:

For most of our cars, it's 0.1 sec per 60 lbs (~ 14-15 sec car of about 3000 lbs). Faster car and wt changes (3000 vs. 4000 lbs, for example) make the rule of thumb change, yes.

Happy New Years' Eve!

I am in the process of building a "spltter" on the Lower of the front air dam.. It's about 3/4 done now.. I need to Fab up the "wing the goes on the RH Side similar to what I have on the Left.

Thanks Honda Odyssey Minivan Rear Bumper cover!

Greg,

It sure looks like that has to be pushing more air that with it off? Is it offset by the drag of air not getting hung up under the car? Just wondering.

Rick
