I ve been working on getting the timing dailed in and the carb tuned but i haven't gotten into any boost yet I'm still running in a lean condition but im working on fattening the mixture up
The car feels strong and everything appears to be working the transmission feels abit sponge or soft so om going to have to keep a eye on it

I've been working on getting my afr dailed in I'm going lean coming out of a vacuum state into boost
I made some minor adjustments to the carb and took it for a spin my numbers are getting better and I was able to let it build some boost and man I seen 15 psi in the blink of a eye but my trans cable still needs some adjustments
Stay tuned im getting close

Yah junior there's always updates the Toad has been on jack stands for the past two months I replaced the entire fuel system I tried and tried to get the stock tank clean but the old build up of bad gas I couldn't get rid of it.
I have to run one last line then it's up to mother nature and the Michigan weather

For some reason I can't post any pics from photebucket but this isn't the only site I've had that issue.

its an awesome write up. im eager to see how it pans out and what kinda power it makes. ive been reading alot of these turbo write ups and they all seem to work ridiculously well once odds and ends are cleared up. did you make your own header?

So far I've been impressed this is my first slant build ever I know big blocks I had a dozen or so. I would of never guessed you could get the kind of power and torque a boosted slant can put out.
Yes I built my own header I have a extended write up on all the trails and tribulations over the last two and a half years check out both links I have in my signature one is a video with my test turbo the other one is a link to my build thread

I think if I remember correctly the whole header ended up costing me about $500 in flanges, els, and 6 into 1 merger collector and I'd say probably about 40 or 50 hours to make.

i was gonna do something similar to what turbo66valiant is running, get the ebay flanges and use a set of old headers to fill in the piping. its not gonna be as beefy as what your running so ill have to support the turbo but it should work pretty well. all in all shouldnt run me more than $100. its probably gonna take me three times as long to put it all together though with a flux core mig.

Mine was around $200 bucks to make

build you own header dealio from summit or jegs was like 90 bucks more then enough pipe and angles to make mine work.
