Rick, By Front - I am assumming you mean the airdam? Yes it that shot it's up.. It is adjustable between 1.5- 7~8" At mason dixon when you saw the car It was real low and was tripping the staging beams - THen it got all ripped up on the return road & by my tow strap when I winched it up onto the trailer. I rebuilt the support to be more stable and I was setting it for 4" so I didnt hit stuff on the return road...as much. In that pic I had just got off the trailer and Was returning from tech so it was still up quite high - THen I set it for 4" for the actual runs.. Greg |

wondering where you have your driveshaft loop do you think if you had one mounted up front and one in the rear it would have done the damage to the transmission also what did it feel like. did it fail @ a shift point ? did you know @ 1st what happened or ? |

@usajon. I don't know if using 2 loops would have saved The trans I can't see how it would hurt except adding weight. The car just went a 12.43 @Pittsburgh in normal air. I tried a 750 Carb. And picked up .16 More info to follow |

Last Night Was very Productive - Air Was great.. Pressure went up to 30.76" by the end of the Night I ran a 12.30@107 then backed it up with a 12.24@108. Video HERE! Ruster likes the 750 carb, and Is wanting more jet.. But that will wait until the next TNT.. And this is with the "slow 60' times Midwest Converter" I did recieve my PTC converter back from PTC... It's refreshed and has a new pump drive in it. Tim @ PTC said " this thing is the highest stall possible.." which is great. I cant wait to get to Mason dixon and then in a few weeks to stab in the other PTC converter.. 11's are getting closer! Also I seem to have worked out the Park gear / Governor spacer "pop off issue" so that's good news too.. Lou Is supposed to bring Some scales to Mason dixon so we can get a new accurate weight on Ruster. YAY! Lets race! Greg |

While at mason Dixon over the weekend, Lou Was Nice enough to bring his 4 corner scales.. We found a reasonably level pad to do some weigh in's I think that we had weighed about 6-7 cars after all said & done.. Ruster's actual weight with a full cell of fuel is pretty close to my calculations.. I calculated that it weighed 2190.. and Actual was 2193. Now I have to install the New alternator and work out the bugs with the mount up. Greg |

that nice to see, alot of people told me a 750cfm is too big! on my mild engine at 3000lbs i ran a 14.20et and my higher compression engine at 2500lbs i ran 12.30et. that was after running a 600cfm, keep up the good work. |

I could loan you my drivetrain to see how fast it would go in a car that weighs 1,100lbs less!! Nice job Greg. |

@ Sergio.. Yes Front 1263# 57.6% Rear 931# 42.4% LF 661 RF600 LR 411 RR 520 Weight Distrubition Not ideal at all for now.. Motor plate and Moving Engine / Trans rearward 6-12" is in the future sometime @ Tom - I predict your Power in my car is unsafe w/o a cage and it will go Mid 9's! Greg |

Looking good...was just cruising through your posts and found the awesome picture of the Amsoil Super Shift!! I am proud! There are some fast slants running it in the trans including yours. Tom's idea would be fun also. Any plans for a turbo? Later Ryan |

Hi Ryan, I figured I would the try The Amsoil.. I know that makes you proud.Tom's idea would be fun also. Any plans for a turbo? Later Ryan I was running Type F before. Non Synthetic, I believe. The turbo Idea is waay cool.. but in my chassis just plain scary at this point. I would Megasquirt it first then get the Block o ringed, either get a really thick head gasket or another unmilled head, and Then the cam and turbo.. I want to Turbo my street car First.. Have The Biggies laying around the shop to do it (Old GN Turbo, Intercooler, Car Laready Had Dutra Duals) but Just need to get motivated to start such a project..(once my flywheel comes in from McLeod I will have the Correct Parts to get turbo power to the trans!) Well I picked up a Holley 4150HP 750 CFM carb at Carlisle for a steal.... So I am going from a 750 Carter AFB to A 750 Holley 4150... I think the holley will be better (quicker) on the big end.. Also My second hand slicks are getting tired after 3 years of racin.. They were 27X10.5-15 quick time pro's - they had 2 cheater treads and were a DOT tire.. I couldnt find a real drag slick in that size.. so I opted for a bit bigger.. 28X10 D06 Compound Hoosiers.. They are an inch taller which required more rear fender well Hacking.. Maybe I lost 1/2 a pound but off the rear of the car Third time for rear wheel well enlargement. New Sick is in the back.. it's a bit bigger. |
