I will measure my intake after work and post some general dimensions. |

I have Stone's manifold machined for my NOS system and ready to install but It will not go onto my car until after the MATS race... I already have a number of changes on the car and need to re-baseline it before doing the manifold change. DD |

I plan on buying 1-2 of these. I wonder if anyone would want to go in together to save on shipping? I'll be interested to see Doc's results too, although I'm pretty confident this should work very well. Lou |

Hello All, Thanks for the reply's, any dimensions would be great....Doc we all want to know what you find with it. It looks so much better for flow than the other 4bbls out there, except the hyper-pak. I will be waiting for the dimensions. Thanks guys.... |

My four bbl hurricane measures 15 1/2 inches . That is from the end of the runners to the farthest points (the carb pad ears). Hope this helps. |

Quote: Hi Lou we are getting a special cutter made to drill the injector bosses as it is something that we need for a few of the other AussieSpeed manifolds that will be available in 2009. it is not just a simple drill a hole & wack it in there. there are things to consider as injector angle, clearance, correct size & a hole bunch of other stuff. so rest assure it is on the drawing board.
Another suggestion: Add bosses to the casting for mounting fuel rail brackets. If you are drilling the manifold for injectors, how about offering a kit that includes a fuel rail and mounting brackets to fit Bosch injectors? Ken |

465 Aussie for the 4bbl Hurricane. 445 2bbl. 550 blower manifold (almost ready according to PP&R. $465 AU is $358.50 USD. Jester these figures I just pulled from their site. I don't understand where the $600 figure is coming from. Edit-$580 gets you the manifold, gasket, and plenum heater. These prices are still better than when the manifold was first offered do to the exchange rate. |

Would the two bbl intake work well for the street, mated with a Holley 350 2bbl? I was going to get a 4bbl offy and a 2bbl adapter, and use the Holley 350, then move up to a 4bbl after some heavy engine work... But that won't be for a long time. What to do, what to do... |

Jester, some "peoples" that I know have said that this 4bbl manifold will out perform both the Offy and the Clifford on the street. The 2bbl version may (not an expert pure conjecture) work just as well because of fuel distribution. Don't listen to me, do your research and talk to guys that have been around a hellava lot longer then myself. |

I was going to use a 500 cfm 2bbl but I have gone to the idea of a 450 cfm 4bbl on a intake. Im torn between the hurricane and a wieand someone is selling here. Money dictates the out come but I may just have them both down the road. Oh summit has a cool formula for the cfm an engine needs at a given rpm but I cant find it. I will come in at 231 cid and at 6500 rpm 425 cfm is needed. |

Just remember that the formula is only for maintaining a constant RPM. It does not take engine acceleration/load into account. |

why are you picking on me!? they said maxium rpm and CID was the major factor but that explains the use of 500 and 600 eddie's on slants |
