Nice, so long as the geometry between your repair and the original pump are is identical. In other words, nice, so long as the hole you made is in the same spot as the hole in the original plastic arm.

I like people who are creative enough to fix their own problems.
Thanx.

Don't do that. You're basically sandblasting the cylinders and when you remove the head, don't be surprised to see a good sized wear ridge in each cylinder. Sounds like a pcv problem. replace the pcv valve and make sure the hose to the carb, and the carb itself isn't plugged up.

I thought the same thing, changed the pcv still same problem.

Excessive blowby possibly from worn rings or valve guides. Do a compression check or a leakdown test if you want to get fancy.

it works grate! Thanks for everything guys.
Good deal. The guy asking $15 for that was out of his mind. I wouldn't pay more than $2 for one.

This one time i was touring with over 100 classic cars and a nut on the back of my 1920 throttle linkage loosened off when i was accelerating through the parking lot, it was like the pedal was stuck down :p Luckily i reacted quickly and killed the ignition but hopefully that arm doesn't snap at a funny time.
