 Post subject: Tranny mount help?
PostPosted: Mon Aug 02, 2004 8:18 am
Somewhere, sometime, I saw some pictures of various tranny mounts (the 60's biscuit variety), but now I can't find them.
The standard A-body mount is centered under the mount pad on the trans, but there was another application with an offset mount that would help me out immensely.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Application? Part number?

Rockauto.com has sketches of many of their parts.

Thanks. I tried it, but struck out on mount pictures.
Checked a catalog at lunchtime; the centered mount (2266) is listed to fit a whole bunch of stuff, but couldn't find a picture of the offset style, also 63-65 intemediates are listed N/A... :?
Does anyone have a 64 B-body they could look under or?

My '64 service manual has one sketch of the rear mount, but it's not very detailed. If you want me to scan it, PM me or post your e-mail address.

Does the manual cover A-body only or is it full line?
My 64 Dart has the centered mount, so I'm looking at other applications.
If it's a full line manual, is it clear enough to tell if it's offest on B-bodies, etc?
