A member of another board offered to me an extra exhaust manifold he needs to get rid of. It has, as best I can tell, a small tube running lengthwise through the middle of one of the exhaust runners. Do any of you know what I'm talking about, and can you explain this? Would this manifold work with the Super Six intake I took from a '78 Volare? They would ultimately go into Aaron's '74 Dart Sport.

Just curious,
Jerry

hi, it's used to prevent carb icing. one end attaches to port under/inside air cleaner and the other to port above throttle plate on carb. it is used to pull cold/cool filtered air thru tube in ex manifold, heating it, and then to "ported" port on carb to prevent carb icing. ron
