 Post subject: suspension popping

so i did my front end this summer, everything except the LCA bushings. i couldnt get my torsion bar out. but ? was, whats with the popping noises when i reverse or hit bumps? bad? oy veigh

did u change the strut rod bushings? (i think thats what they are called, the rods that run from the lower control arms to the support under the radiator) look under the car and have someone go forward and hit the brakes and reverse and hit the brakes and see if the control arms move forward and backward excessively. my car made some popping noises when these went bad.

Yes, lower control arm bushing will cause the popping sound you hear. I changed mine and noise went away. Strut rod bushings will also cause this, as will worn out ball joints. But since you changed everything except the LCA bushings, this is your problem.
