Post subject:  axle stuff

This was from an earlier post- from the good doctor, It will help

"The 60-62 (and even some early 63s) have a real small axle bearing that has been "NA" for some time now.
Here are some other numbers to search for:
New Departure # D88506FR
Also show RW206FFR and RW206CCR as listings.

If you run accross a later (64-72+) 7 1/4 rearend with the larger bearing axles, grab it along with the backing plates and think about swapping over to that (more common) set-up.
DD"
Hope that helps

'73 and up disc brake cars had different axels too. They will definitly not interchange with an earlier housing. The center section should though. :D
