are there mods that have to be made to the transmission crossmember to run a A500 in an a-body? i know about the adapter plates and the tranny tunnel but i cant find any info on the mods that might be required on the crossmember. can anyone enlighten me?

I hope to get time to write an article on this soon. Yes, you need to cut out most of the upper X and rebuild it, and build a new lower X as well. I started the lower X with my original lower X ears and used some 1.5X2.5" box tubing to extend it down a bit, then modded the A500 rear mount to use a PolyU chevy trans mount.
