have 2 cylinders that are oil fouling the plugs. what i don't understand is, at no time does the engine smoke. shouldn't it smoke as the plugs are beginning to foul? compression is 145 lbs give or take 5 lbs all cyl.

Sure it doesn't smoke when you let off, but you just dont see it? Sounds like you need valve seals (and possibly guides), my friend.
