Water season is here and I discovered a minutes ago that my Duster don´t keep water in the outside, it let ALL the water enter in the front and fried almost everything up there!!! |

i had a leak from the wiper arm driped on the wires on down to the floor. got lucky it didnt get to the fuse box. i just got a little silicon around the base and it seems to hold out |

For new wiper pivot seals, take a look at Schumacher Creative Services at [url]engine-swaps.com[/url]. Also, make sure the drain holes for your cowl are clear and not plugged up with leaves and twigs. Jerry |

Often the water appears to come from the wiper shafts but it does not. It can be the windshield gasket. Years of rust and dirt under the window gasket and trim cause problems. If you were to actually remove the windshield and gasket you will see how it is made and there is an area on each end that tends to leak because of the way it is made. The rubber gasket just sits on top of metal with no real "sealing" area and this is often where it leaks. There are also a couple drain holes below the windshield under the trim strip. They are sometimes difficult to see because they are partially covered by the window gasket and if someone has squirted extra sealant in there they often mistakenly fill these drain holes (actually slots). Also dirt accumulates under the trim strip and plugs these drain holes. I had a mysterious water leak on my Valiant that eluded me for years. It was the body seam behind the fenders, near the hood hinge area. There is about 3 or 4 layers of sheetmetal spotwelded there with some sealer applied over it at the factory. Mine had the bare seam exposed and water leaked in and ran down behind the kick panel and under the carpet. I had to remove splash shield and with my long arm I was able to smear some sealant over the seam with my finger. End of mysterious leak. This would be much easier to see and do if you actually remove the fenders. |

but now I can´t get my heater unit to work properly, never sends hot air, always cold air, someone knows the correct order of hoses from engine to heater unit? |

I'm assuming you're talking about the heater core - I don't think it matters which way you connect the hoses - assuming both the inlet and outlet are the same size, but you could always just swap them and see if things improve. If you have AC there is a heater control valve that could be bad, or it's linkage could be binding/jammed.Steve G. |

Ok, I don´t have a A/C unit, only defroster, and already changed order of hoses but ist the same result. |

Anyone got heater controls diagram?? I think a linkage is loose, the one that controls cold/hot air. |

The Drains On My Aspen Were Easy To Find / Clean. Small Rubber Flaps On The Firewall That Lead From The Cowl Which Is Covered By An Easy-To-Remove Plastic Grille While The Hood Is Up... I Am Unsure However Where To Find These Drains On My Scamp... Any Tips? |
