I have an 82 D150 with the lean burn system. The only thing I have left of the system is the dist. and computer. I've changed the coil to an aftermarket coil (Promaster) and it worked fine.
I finally deside to do the full Hei swap and get rid of the computer and dist. I hooked up all the wiring from the coil to the control module to the eletronic dist. No spark.
OK, I change out the pickup coil in the dist and still no spark. I go and have the control module checked out and its bad. Get a new one and had it checked before I left the store and it was good.
Hooked the new module up and still no spark! Did check to see conections were good pos & neg going into module good. No pos & neg electricity coming out of module.
Could someone tell me what I'm missing or what is going on?

Are you sure you're positive to the module is there when you're in the 'Start' position? Sometimes the ignition wire goes dead then.
