I installed my MP268 cam. I degreed it and it came out @ 105*. The factory settings (that I got off this website) say 104*.

Is this robbing me of power?

I read somewhere that advancing the cam gives you more low end, while retarding (which is where I am, right?) gives more peak power. I figure I will get some "help" on the low end with timing advance and I have a 4 speed.

I guess that the factory has 104* for a reason, but this cam seems to be a "project" to some of you who have used it, for one reason or another.

BTW, I have the lash @ .16 intake and .18 exhaust.

Thanks for the help! :)

I guess it's not a huge deal.

Unless you spend a lot of time on a dyno or dragstrip you will never notice 1*.

Me, I would add advance....
and loosen-up the valve lash to .020I and .025E before starting it.

OK Doc.
Do you mean 20 and 25 lash for cold? Then adjust from there?
I have been running the engine for two weeks now. I just read your other post on lash settings. I will use that method and see what I come up with.
