I had a 3-speed in my Toro, and a 6-speed in the Snapper that went before that, but my friend had an older Snapper with 5 speeds and *reverse*. These are walk-behind mowers we're talking about here...

I had a john deer with a three speed and reverse...up hill if you revved her out in reverse then dumped the clutch in first you could bust some sweet wheelies...Heck Yes...unfortunately i blew the rod out the side doing a donut....DANGIT!

My '70 Snapper was built for wheelies! It has a 5-speed, a modified clutch and a Hurst T-handle shifter, by the way...

I turned my 68 Snapper Comet over backwards while cutting in the ditch.

This is only one of several mishaps that has happened with this mower. I call it the mower from HELL. :twisted:
