With the wheels in the air, get an impact gun or big breaker bar if you have room and loosen the LCA pivot bolt.

Or take a sawzall through the bar if you don't care about it and want to replace it anyway. Keep some oil handly for the blade, and a few spare blades while your at it if you take this approach.

Lets see what else... If the adjustment bolt is low enough and the end is exposed past the bottom of the lca, then you can weld some long metal stock to it for leverage then use some elbow grease.

You will need to use a cutting torch on the remains of the adjuster bolt now. Go through the hole in the front of the LCA and cut off the bolt on top of the "nut". You already twisted off the bolt heads and need new bolts anyway.

Just be sure to jack up and support the front of the car first. If you don't, the car will fall down on top of you when you cut off the adjuster bolts.

Won't the bolt be too mangled to remove and replace if you cut the top off with a torch?

It does not matter how mangled it is, he already twisted off the other end.
Plus when you buy a new bolt it comes with the rectangular part it threads in to.

The price sure has gone up. I bought one from my local Chrysler dealer 15 or 20 years ago and it was only $9.

I'd go check a Chrysler dealer just to compare price. The two pieces come together as a set.

Speaking of trouble removing Torsion Bars....
I'm making an afternoon of pulling the /6 bars to install a set of V8 bars DusterIdiot found for me.
I've got the adjusters removed, the clips out, and the bar seals off and slid forward on the bars. I've cleaned out the rear clip pockets, and liberally doused the LCA with liquid wrench.
The old bars will not move. I started out with a Ball-peen hammer. Now I'm up to a 2 1/2# Sledge. They won't move. I'm about to take my propane torch to the LCA.
Any thoughts?

If so, then I would suggest prying between the front of the LCA, or gently hammer the bearing/bolt on the front. This is in a direct line with the torsion bars, and will push them backwards.

Will do. Starting to run out of steam.
Is this an alignment problem, where the LCA rake angle is off? Sorry, caster? Too many years working on MC's... What I am hearing is to put a bar in the LCA and attempt to move it forward to release the Torsion Bar.
