Well, seems like the third gear on my 904 has gone for a long vacation... what has happened?

do you have reverse? check oil level with car idling in neutral (after warmup) stop, then shift 1 - 2 - D - N - R - P - then N again and check the level with engine on. (make sure your car is parked on a flat evenly leveled surface) maybe presure? you can crank up the nut counterlocked shaft that comes out above shifter/kickdown linkage on the driver's side of your transmission. Spin it 2 full turns, adjust the locking nut and see what happens. |

Will start with changing oilfilter, as far as I have known the gearbox have seen no attention since '94, after coming across one previous owner at a meeting the other weekend, service record, or the lack of it, is set back to 1989
