My '62 Signet will soon receive a bionic 225, bored .30 over, with hotter cam, ported and polished head and polished (internally) Offy 4 bl manifold and Eddy 500 CFM Carb, with Hot ignition and Dual Dutra Duels, fitted to a built 904 with 8 3/4 Detroit Locker rearend, 14" SBP Cragar Mags and true dual exhaust. I think the Comp. Ratio is about 9.3 to 1. The engine is hooked up to the dyno, but hasn't been run yet, waiting on the water inlet housing so water can flow during testing. This engine is being built for the street by Paul Vanderly, who designed the Iron Duke Olds 4 cyl. engine, and who has held the world's speed record at Bonneville for 4 bangers under 200 c.i. I think his record was about 208 mph, but he has since gone 218 mph in the same car, but due to weather conditions couldn't make the obligatory second run in the opposite direction. He's only 70 years old now, but he has a wealth of knowledge in getting heads to flow, etc. I don't know what size valves or cam he ended up with, but I'm sure it'll get up and go faster than my mild stock engine. I post the dyno numbers next week if he gets it done; he's had the engine for 18 months, so I'm ready!
Does anyone know of a good supercharger kit or installer in the Louisiana-Mississippi area who could supercharge this engine? Too much horsepower is never enough. My daily driver is a '96 GTS, and I don't expect the Signet to beat the Viper, but I do like unusual "sleepers". Thanks.

Sounds like a nice project and a competent builder. If he's dyno tuning, I would suggest advancing the cam about 4 deg from the manufacturers spec and trying ignition timing settings in the 25-32 deg (total mech) range.
