hey, i have a 70 swinger that is getting new paint and i'd like to get the battery out of the engine compartment because the battery tray is toast anyways and it will make my engine compartment look better when it's freshly painted. how do i go about doing this? what guage wire do i need? what is the best way to route the wires? can i get a battery box from some other car(what kind)? is there anything else i should address? thanks for your help.

I'm thinking of doing that too. Summit Racing has a kit which includes the cables and battery box. Your cables should be #2 AWG which is what comes in their kit. I think they also include a plastic battery box.

Growing older is unavoidable but growing up is strictly optional.
