i have a 70 dart and unknowingly put the 73-76 lca's in( i had no idea there were two different designs). so my question is is it possible to make a sway bar fit or is there one available that would work?

i looked at firmfeel's websire and the pictures there aren't really clear enough to tell how the 73-76 bar mounts.

The *easy* :? soluiton would be to swap to a 73-76 k-frame. That way you can use the 73-76 stock sway bar. Otherwise, I would try using the sway bar for the 70-72 k- frame that clamps on the lower control arms.

the lca's i put in have the sway bar tab on them. how does the sway bar mount on a 73-76 a-body? i know the early ones mount to the k-frame using the diagonal holes. does any body have a picture?

I had a picture a long while back... the 73-76 sway goes through the notched bottom wedge shapped holes in the K member, and the bushing brackets bolt to the bolt holes in the crotch of the arm sections...

good luck,

Yep, DI is right. 70-72 factory sway bars mounted below the k-frame and bolted to it. 73-76 sway bars ran through the k-frame. Also, the 70-72 sway bar was wider and will not fit into a 70-72 k-frame.

I recommed you bite the bullet, take a deep breath, and spend the weekend swapping the k-frame. Then you can move up to spool mounts for the motor. This is a great opportunity to clean the "new" k-frame and weld up all the joints, paint it, and swap on a "firm feel" steering gearbox from a late 80s diplomat cop car (will bolt right in).
