Went 13:51@98 on a 75 shot, motor hot.

Dialed 13:50 for the first round, motor cold. Spotted a Vette 2 full seconds. The instant I launched I knew I was in da poop. Flew past him at the 1/8th mile mark. Shut off the giggle gas after I went by, shut the motor off at 1000 feet, still went 13:17@86. It went 8:17@83 at the 1/8th. Mike's calculator said 12:96 for a full pull.

Excellent! Should be no trouble hitting the 11s with a 150 shot, eh?

Keep up the good work,

Lou

I'm hoping so Lou. It still ran in the 14:20's on motor only too.

Hey SlantZilla, I am new to SS forum and was wondering what upgrades you did to your motor. Sounds like it runs goooood!

Nope, that is Mike Jeffrey, I was the guy with him racing the rental car.

My junk is a '66 Valiant street car with a Mike Jeffrey motor. :D

Motor specs:
1970 198 block +.065" over
198 rods w/ARP rod bolts
2.2 turbo pistons
Mike Jeffrey head w/1.71 and 1.5 valves
Clifford .558" cam
Clifford intake
Clifford shorty headers
Holley 600 double pumper
2" carb spacer
Top Gun 75-150 nitrous plate system
ARP head stud kit
3" exhaust from Jeff's Custom Exhaust

This motor would be very easy to duplicate.

Trans is a 727specialists 904 w/V-8 guts, Griner trans brake, and a Midwest 8" nitrous converter.

Rear is an 8-3/4 w/ 3.91 Sure Grip and Moser axles

Front suspension is stock, rear is a pair of JC Whitney leaf springs w/Lakewood clamp-on slapper bars.

I have M/T ET Streets on Weld Drag Stars on the rear, Drag Stars and Radial T/A's on the front.

Car weighs 3250 w/me in it.

Other than the head, there is nothing fancy in the motor, the trans is way more trick.

You could duplicate this car with most any A-body, and with a 100 shot you would easily have a very reliable mid-12 second street car for well under $10K.

Did you use the 198 crank or a 225 crank?

Block and head were shaved just enough to make them flat. :D

Yes, I am using stock length pushrods.
