The 1963 factory svc manual (on p. 3-20) says: "(1) With the wheel removed, remove the clips holding the brake drum on the wheel studs and remove the drum." What do these clips look like and how are they removed? It's a 7 1/4. |

The Tinnerman Clips always got discarded the first time the drum needed removing. Don't worry about 'em. |

Bummer. I thought I found the reason that I couldn't pull the drum off. |

You can't pull the drum off 'cause the shoes are hanging up on the unworn lip at the mouth of the drum. You'll have to go in through the adjustment access slots and back the adjustors off so the shoes contract and allow the drum to be removed. |

or use a wrecking bar, and rip the darn drums off. (My way, but not recommended for casual use or repair) |

Might not be the shoes. Occasionally you get a rust weld in the center hub......... |
