Leaf springs are essentially trailing arms, n'est ce pas?
Or, if used on the front (ie, 4x4), they are usually anchored at the rear (shackles to the front) making them leading arms if I understand this correctly.
Are trailing arms (or leading arms) ever used on all 4 corners, or must they always be mixed?
Are there advantages one way or the other?

There's a reason they are always set up that way. Trailing arms in the front will dive way too much under braking. Leading arms at the rear will try to lift the rear wheels under hard acceleration, reducing traction.
