I have a 73 Swinger, and would like to put a bumblebee stripe on it. All the sticker kits I see list the 70-71. It seems to me that the 70-73 all had the same rear end shape, and therefore the 70-71 stripe should fit just fine on my 73.

However, I haven't seen these years together to really compare them side by side. Would the 70-71 fit the 73?

Should be the same. They changed front facia in '73, but waited till '74 to change the rear, IIRC.

I may be wrong on this but I thought the side marker lights on the rear quarters changed in 1972. This is the only difference I can think of that would require a modification to the 70-71 stripe to make it work for your 73.

That is correct—all the contours and dimensions are identical '70-'73, but the sidemarker light changed from a flush-mounted item to a surface-mount unit for '72.

I am looking for the dimensions of this stripe to have it painted on my 72 Dart. Does anyone know this or can point me to a site that would? The body shop says they will paint it if I can get the correct measurements and placement. I have pics but no correct sizes. Thanks for any help! This site is so helpful! Bill

When you apply the stripe to your '73 take the marker lights right off. Put the stripe on over the hole then trim it back to the opening. Let it dry some if you applied it wet then re-install your marker lights. Perfect installation.--sticker guy tips.

On mine, the middle stripe is 7", the two skinny stripes on either side are 1/4", and the gap between the stripes is 3/8". On top of the trunk lid is a slight "V" shape that follows the contour of the trunk. Don't know if this is "correct" as far as factory stripes, but seems to look right.

Now that I got those, I can sport up my dart. See what searching before posting does?
