| Post subject: | 67 dart power steering box leak |
Can you replace seals in this yourself? I don't think the box is shot, but it seems to leak out top where shaft comes out? anyone ever do this job? Lots of hassle to get it in and out, don't want to reinstall same problem... Does anyone supply rebuilts that will work right? Commenters really welcome, as well as what years are the same... |

lucas oil makes this stuff called power steering stop leak. I used in my 89 aerostar van to stop the rack from squeeking. and it stoped after a couple of days driving it. I only put in a thimble full to boot. if it stops leaks as well as it stops squeels you should be in business |

I resealed my pump a while back. Got the kit from advance auto for around $15. It's fairly easy to do, the hardest part for me was getting the pulley off. |
