I have a Holley 1bbl that someone gave me that currently keeps my Slant running. It's in need of a rebuild, throttle shaft doesn't leak so it should be a fine candidate. Where are the numbers that I'll need stamped at to find the model number of it? Thanks -Mike |

The location of the carb type number varies by carb model. Look for a number that starts with "R", then has four digits, then maybe an S, SA, SB, etc. Go look at the pictures in this ad; does your free Holley look at all like this? Or totally different? |

Seriously, the ID number you're after is here: haha, those carbs you have are definately very nice. Little out of the league for what my car will see. its a beater, im building a eddie headed 360 for my 'cuda, the 'cuda will donate the 318 to the duster when the time comes. So really, just looking to get the slant running good and sipping gas for the time being  Numbers are 1712 6156 now any suggestions on where to get a kit? Thanks

NAPA sells a nice carburetor kit for your Holley 1920. Dan probably has part #'s and more. You should buy one of Dan's Economaster carbs. Old 1920's can be pretty finicky. |

I don't much like NAPA's carburetor kits. Standard-Hygrade kits are OK, but I've been impressed with Walker's kits, lately. They seem more complete and more application-specific. You need a 15519A kit. |

Awesome, thanks of course their site doesn't list retail stores. I'll have to try and track a kit down locally.

I know O'Reilly's carries Walker kits, if you've got one of those locally. |

The "mom and pop" store here always stocks Borg Warner kits for the Holley 1920 and 1945 on the shelf (not sure why...when most of their business is Chevy oriented...)... I have had good luck with the Borg-Warner 10392A kit so far.... -D.Idiot |
