What year steering linkage pieces will interchange with a 72 Satellite? Specifically, will an idler arm from a 73 Satellite work with a 72 Satellite suspension? I am not overly familiar with B-bodies, so pardon the ignorance. Thanks!

I believe the B body front end is the same from '65 up to '72, so any of those years will work. The '73's went to the isolated K frame and some suspension/steering pieces where changed, so I would just stay with the '72 down parts to be safe. I know larger C body tie rod ends will work and help to make the steering linkage work with less deflection.

Thanks! As you know, local parts stores don't stock the idler arm, so I am trolling online sources to find a good one. I have my eye on some NOS ones on e-bay. I just hope the price doesn't get too high.

Your local Napa shoud be able to get you one. They list an idler arm and an idler arm bushing kit on their web site. http://www.napaonline.com/masterpages/N ... PageId=100

Here is Shucks web site, looks like they have one also, but you'll have to have it ordered or order it yourself and pick it up. Done this a few times myself and never had a problem!
