My problem is with a 1980 dodge aspen slant six, the steering gear box and the steering column does not line up. They are bent instead of being straight
where the steering coulmn goes into the steering gearbox coupling. They create an upside V shape.

Does anyone know how to align them, so I make them straight again?

Thank You

sometimes yo can unbolt the column from the fire wall. that might help some. the coupler is supposed to be able to correct for this misalignment. the car hasn't been in an accident?

Thank You for the reply. I was told to look at the frame. So after checking it out I found out a small section of the frame broke. That's what's causing this problem. I am giving it to a shop that specializes in this area.
