Man, this was a long weekend at the track. Rain was intermittent, and they called off the Sat race around 2pm, just before the clouds broke for the day.

Sunday, it rained off and on, and they almost had the track jet-dried at 3:30, then it rained again and they called it.

Lots of nice folks showed up though, and we had a good time. They also had the scale open, so most everyone weighed their cars (and themselves).

Project V was, happily, just below what I had measured before I finished out the cage and removed a few things - 2545lbs with 11gal gas and w/o me. In my current slim (and dehydrated at the time) form, that's 2710 with me in it.

A few of the racers showed up on Fri and ran in the bracket race that day. I only got to burn around the return road a little...

My wife and I would like to thank all of the slant racers for their hospitality,some of the nicest people you would want to meet.
Maybe next year we will get to race somthing other than "benches".

Doug,my race car and street car are one and the same plus it ate a rear wheel bearing on the way home from Bristol.Next year I will have my HyperPak Valiant ready for Bristol.
