This is a 63 Valiant /6 auto trans car:
My driveshaft angle is 1.5 - 1.75 degrees down
My rearend is 0 (zero) degrees
Will a 2.5 degree axle shim correct this pinion angle?

I installed the shims and now the nose of the rearend is tipped down at 3 degrees.

3° is on the "too much" side of things. These wedge-shims are best installed less-than-you-think-you-need at a time. Maybe back down to a 1° wedge?

What should the pinion angle (driveshaft+rearend) be for my car?
I think I was reading the wrong article...
