Part number is N/A because this switch has been N/A for years. You can get it as # T-257 from Andy Bernbaum for $24.50. You can also get it from Pat Blais, tflitepatty@verizon.net , price unknown.

according to a couple of sources there is still some NOS available. They list PN 1704283, '55-'65 Plymouth. I was looking to verify if this is accurate.

1704 283 is the factory P/N for the '56 through '64 switch ('65-'68 is a different switch).

Where are you planning on shopping for this switch, besides the two known-good sources I already gave you?

Nope!

'56-'64 is one switch (single-terminal)
'65-'68 is another switch (single terminal, different switch)
'69-up is the 3-terminal switch you're thinking of.

Dan is quite correct.
When I installed a 64 PB valve body in a 65 trans, I had to change the switch, also.
