Hi all. I have a 7.25 in my '70 dart right now and have a replacement 8.25 that I want to put in it. Are the brake parts in the 7.25 interchangeable to the 8.25? The 8.25 is missing most of the brake parts and I'm hoping I can just swap what I've got onto the 8.25...

if they have the same brakes, they will be the same....i mean 9" barkes were pretty common on the 7.25....but they also came with 10" brakes. that will most likely be the determining factor.

what brakes do you have now, is the new set up the same size? are they both SBP?

They are both 10" drums though the drums that came with the 8.25 are finned and seem to be of a heavier duty variety than what are on the 7.25.

the parts should interchange.

they are both small bolt pattern, right?

They are both LBP - the 7.25 is not original to the car either...but I am encouraged that it seems they will interchange.
