No.... a windage tray is not needed on a 'daily driver'.
If you do anything, put a baffel in the oil pan so the oil does not "slosh forward" on hard stops.

Kind of like the internal version of a wing on the trunk.

Minuses:

Cost.
Time and effort to fit and install.
Just a little more weight up front.
One more thing to work around when tinkering on the engine.

Pluses:
Possibly better oil control at really high (for a slant) RPM.
One more minor bragging point.

Doug's right, of course. You don't need it. But, then, if you have the time and don't have anything better to do, it really won't hurt anything.
At least people in the parking lot can't point at it and laugh.

That's pretty much true for anything between the valve cover and oil pan, isn't it? :wink:

That's one advantage to open headers Tom. They can't hear the rattles. :lol:

I have never wound one up in the crank yet, but I know Seymour did. :shock:
