Who in the world is Pilot Headlight?

Never heard of them before today. (normal putzing around the internet....)

They seem cheap, which has me wondering how bad they actually are..........

One of many names under which cheap, nasty, and dangerous Chinese-made toy headlites and bulbs are sold in English-speaking countries.
They're perfectly safe if you never drive at night. Using them as actual headlamps at night is, quite literally, asking to die on the road.

If it's a choice between this junk and ordinary sealed beams, use the plain sealed beams!
